Unity of New York is fortunate to have Rev. Louis Olivieri and Rev. Becca Bean as our Licensed Unity Teachers and several people within our congregation who are working towards becoming Licensed Unity Teachers.  We\u2019re excited to have dedicated individuals like Revs. Louis and Becca in the pipe-line to serve our UNY community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Licensed Unity Teacher – Rev. Louis Olivieri<\/a><\/h3>\n

\n Rev. Louis is an ordained Interfaith\/Interspiritual Minister who studied at the\u00a0One Spirit Interfaith Seminary. Through years of study, and the reading of \u201cThe Mystic Heart\u201d by Bro Wayne Teasdale whose book inspired the\u00a0Order of Universal Interfaith\u00a0, he became familiar with spiritual practices from different traditions and honors and respects these paths.\u00a0 Knowing the details behind the sacred customs we share has provided him with a deep appreciation for the cultural differences that make each of us unique and special, yet still one. \u00a0As a teacher of\u00a0Unity Philosophy\u00a0\u00a0and a licensed practitioner of these principles, Rev. Louis serves his spiritual community with love and joy.

\r\nAfter spending more than 20 years as a US Treasury bond broker on Wall Street, and owning his own premium concert\/theater ticket service, Louis chose to act on his calling after personally experiencing the events of 9\/11. \u00a0He worked in the towers of the World Financial Center and lives nearby.\u00a0 This occurrence fueled his decision to pursue \u00a0his spiritual journey.\u00a0 A culmination of his experiences, both personal and public, showed him that there was a difference between \u201cgoing through something and growing through something.\u201d \u00a0He truly believes that understanding commitment and living and growing through your experiences make you who you are. \u00a0Unity of NY is grateful to have Rev. Louis as an integral part of our ministry! <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n

Licensed Unity Teacher Rev. Becca Bean<\/a><\/h3>\n

\n Reverend Becca Bean\u00a0was ordained at One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in 2011, and has been a Unity Truth student for nearly 30 years.\u00a0 She proudly serves as a Unity Prayer Chaplain at Unity of New York, and also volunteers with Disaster Chaplaincy Services of New York City.\u00a0 Born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, Becca has lived and thrived in Manhattan in a variety of careers since 1982.\u00a0 Working first as an Equity stage manager, and later pursuing a 30-year career as a professional fundraiser, she has helped non-profit organizations such as The Big Apple Circus, New York Presbyterian Hospital and the Wildlife Conservation Society grow and prosper. http:\/\/www.reverendbeccabean.com <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
