Gha’ il has taken her power of the spoken word ministry to correctional facilities \, the NFL\, theatres \, corporations\, schools\, shelters and universities around the USA and abroad .. including performances at Jazz at Lincoln Center \, BAM\, Carnegie Hall and The Apollo Theatre . Most recently Gha’il collaborated with students and faculty at the University of Cape Coast in Cape Coast Ghana . While visiting Ghana she was also blessed to perform on Stage at the National Theater of Ghana in Accra. Shawn is an ordained Unity Minister as well as an Inter-Spiritual Minister. He served as Senior Minister at Unity Center for Practical Spirituality in Norwalk\, CT from September 2004 through December 2023. Rev. Shawn is the founding Board President of Unity of New York in New York City where he is currently serving as Staff Minister. He began his spiritual journey in earnest after a twenty-year career as a multi award-winning lighting and sound designer in New York City nightclubs. To top it all off\, several years ago he began performing stand-up comedy for which he won the 2015 MAC Award for Outstanding Spoken Word as well as The Broadway World Award for Outstanding Comedy. He was also the host of the popular radio show ‘THE GOOD SHOW with Rev. Shawn’ in Connecticut. \nShawn’s mission in life and in his ministry is for everyone on planet earth (including himself) to KNOW that he or she is Good. Britt was also a member of the creative team for the inspirational book and recording\, “Badge of Courage\,” written by Barbara Raven\, read by Oscar-winning actress Patricia Neal\, music by David Friedman\, sung by Spiritus.
